Gateshead Creative Crawl Trick or Treat 2025
A Halloween Trail of Art, Community and Discovery
The Trick or Treat Creative Crawl 2025 will transform Gateshead town centre into a playful Halloween trail of art, workshops, and discovery. Across the week before Halloween, visitors will explore 13 bespoke artist-designed booths, each offering collectible postcards, heritage stamps and a bottom-shelf Treat Library open to everyone.
A printed and digital trail map will guide families, creatives, and curious visitors through shops, cultural venues, and community spaces, strengthening local pride and leaving a lasting legacy.
How it Works for Visitors:
Trail map, printed and digital, shows booth locations and participating venues
Visitors collect and stamp at each booth, pick up the unique postcard and stamp it
Completing the trail enters visitors into a prize draw for a Halloween goodie bag of local treats
Many venues will also host workshops, exhibitions, or special offers as part of the event ensuring that all places will accommodate all ages

PROJECT PLAY GATESHEAD: SUMMON YOUR SPOOKY GLOW
We are combining craft, light, and storytelling to create Haunted Glow Boxes, Creepy Shelf Terrors, and Gruesome Mobiles. Everyone who attends can build their own glowing lantern-box using recycled materials, washi tape, and spooky silhouettes, then take it home, or leave it behind to form part of a community haunted installation.
This event is part of Project Play – a Gateshead Council initiative celebrating creativity and play, supported by NECA. Project Play runs from Saturday 25 October - Saturday 1 November across Gateshead. View the full ProjectPlay programme below!
