Gateshead Creative Crawl

The Gateshead Creative Crawl is a series of free, community-led creative trails and events that take place across Gateshead town centre throughout the year. Each Creative Crawl invites people to explore the town in new ways, connecting art, creativity and everyday places through playful, accessible experiences.

Creative Crawl events place artist-designed installations, activities and workshops inside shops, cultural venues and community spaces, encouraging people to slow down, discover what is on their doorstep and feel welcome in the town centre. Trails are free to take part in, easy to follow and designed so people can join in at their own pace, whether visiting on their own or with others.

Led by Orbis Community and shaped by local artists, young creatives and partners, the Gateshead Creative Crawl is rooted in openness, generosity and community pride. Each event responds to the season, the place and the people involved, while leaving behind reusable creative assets that support future activity across the town.

From Halloween to Christmas and beyond, the Gateshead Creative Crawl creates moments of shared creativity that bring people together, support local venues and celebrate the spirit of Gateshead.
